Installation instructions for ART wooden panels
Read the instructions carefully before the installation!

Before installation
• The panels are only for indoor use and they cannot be in direct contact with water.
• Any defects in the goods can be referred to only before installing them!
• Make large surfaces out of the same production lot.
• The temperature and humidity of the room need to be normal. The room temperature has to be approx. 20°C and the RH of the room approx. 40%. It means that the walls and ceiling of the room needs to be dry and the windows and doors have glasses.
• The panels should not be exposed to over 60°C of continuous heat.
• This product is not suitable for use with with ceiling heating.
• The temperature and humidity of the panels should be stabilized to the same temperature and humidity than the one in the installation environment, approx. 3 days before attachment. You do not need to open the whole packages, make a hole to the end of the packages, from where the possible humidity can be removed.
• Install the panels immediately after removing the plastic film.

• The battening interval is approx. 400 mm or smaller so that the ceiling does not start to ”hang”. The thickness of the battens is 45x45 mm (min 20x40 mm).
• Take care of suffi  cient ventilation behind the panelling. When necessary, remove the roof boarding and attach a new boarding for attachment.
• Make sure that the roof boarding is true, regardless of any unevenness in the ceiling.
• The panels can be installed to the wall or an old ceiling without battening.

• We recommend that you install the panels by using a stapling gun that is operated by compressed air. Use a staple that is at least 22 mm long, 9 mm wide and 1.6 mm thick.
• The nail is shot slantwise from the nailing notch in the tongue, thus the nailing point will be as invisible as possible.
• Leave an expansion space of 10-15 mm between the panels and the wall. The seam will be covered by a cornice strip.

•  Lights or heavy objects must not be attached to the panel, they need to be attached directly to the lower tongue.
